Bridge the gap between medical school and clinical practice with our interactive, hands-on Practical Skills Workshop, designed for medical students and newly qualified doctors preparing for placements, assistantships, or their first NHS role.

Throughout the day, you'll develop practical skills and confidence in areas that are essential for working on the wards, including:

• 🏥 Clinical scenario simulation with Laerdman SimMan
• 🫀 ECG interpretation
• 🩻 Common X-ray interpretation
• 💉 Venepuncture and understanding ABGs and VBGs
• 📟 Holding the bleep and managing on-call tasks
• 📄 Male and female catetherisation

The workshop combines practical teaching, realistic clinical scenarios, and expert advice from experienced clinicians in a supportive learning environment. You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practise key skills, and gain tips that you can apply immediately during placements or as a junior doctor.
